Delete your Aimgold account

Account-deletion instructions for Aimgold and Aimgold PRO.

From the Aimgold app

1. Sign in and open Profile.
2. Select Delete account.
3. Read the confirmation and confirm your request.

From the Aimgold PRO app

1. Sign in and open Profile.
2. Select Delete account.
3. Enter your password and confirm your request.

If you cannot access the app

Email help@aimgold.co.uk with the subject Aimgold account deletion request. Tell us whether you use Aimgold or Aimgold PRO and identify the account you want deleted. We may need to verify your identity before handling the request. Do not send your password or identity documents by email.

What happens to your data

Account deletion removes or disables your access to the app. Personal information that is no longer required is deleted, redacted, anonymised or otherwise securely disposed of as appropriate. Some identity-verification, transaction, financial, audit and security records may need to be retained for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention or dispute purposes.

The current privacy policy sets an intended retention period of up to five years after a seller’s last transaction for the seller’s selfie and relevant identity-verification evidence, subject to applicable law and periodic review. Biometric calculations used for identity verification are deleted after verification under the current arrangements. Other retention periods depend on the type of information and the reason it is held. See section 13 of the privacy policy for details.
